Sabel Imesch and Clara Laffitte from the Wayne State University women's golf team have been recognized for their academic achievements by being named to the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) All-Academic team. This brings the total number of honorees from the squad to 55 since the 2015-16 school year.

The criteria for this accolade require that a student-athlete must be an active member on the roster at the end of the season and not be a freshman or a first-year transfer student. The grade-point averages considered are those calculated through the fall semester, as it was the last grading period before the season concluded.

Both Imesch and Laffitte were selected for the All-Academic Excellence Team, which recognizes students with cumulative GPAs between 3.5 and 4.0. Sabel Imesch, a junior from Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan, majoring in Global Supply Chain Management, achieved a GPA of 3.72. This marks her second consecutive year on the Excellence Team. Clara Laffitte, a sophomore from Montevideo, Uruguay, studying Biochemistry & Chemical Biology, attained a perfect GPA of 4.00 in her first year of eligibility.

Additionally, Sabel Imesch received College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District recognition for the second straight season.
