Wayne State announces themes for the upcoming volleyball season

The Wayne State University Department of Athletics has unveiled its themes for the 2025 volleyball season. The season begins on Friday, September 5 with the Warrior Invitational, a two-day event.

Wayne State will host several teams during the home portion of their schedule, including GLIAC rivals Saginaw Valley State, Lake Superior State, Parkside, Roosevelt, Ferris State, Davenport, Grand Valley State and Purdue Northwest.

Volleyball fans can purchase season tickets for $45. Individual game tickets are available at different prices: chairback seats for $10 per match, general admission bleacher seats for $5 per match, child tickets (ages 5-12) for $3 per match and faculty/staff tickets for $3 per match. Groups of 10 or more can receive a group discount of $3 per ticket. Special pricing is also available for the Warrior Invitational.

The schedule includes various themed nights:

- On Friday, September 5 against Upper Iowa and Northwood: "Wear your gold for WSU."

- Saturday, September 6 against Cedarville and Winona State: Theme to be determined.

- Friday, September 19 against Saginaw Valley State: High School Night.

- Saturday, September 20 against Lake Superior State: Alumni Day/Kid's Day/Family Day.

- Friday, October 10 against Parkside: Mental Health Awareness Night.

- Saturday, October 11 against Roosevelt: Pink Out.

- Friday, October 31 against Ferris State: "Spike or Treat" Night.

- Saturday, November 1 against Davenport: Senior Day.

- Thursday, November 13 against Grand Valley State: Pride Night.

- Friday, November 14 against Purdue Northwest: Detroit Sports Night.
