The Wayne State University women's swimming and diving team has announced the addition of three multi-event swimmers for the upcoming season. Head coach Sean Peters, now in his 29th year leading the program, confirmed that Annika Cho, Scarlet Maison, and Ava Zimmerman will join the Warriors. The team plans to release further updates about additional recruits, including four freestyle swimmers and three divers who were previously announced on September 3.

Annika Cho comes from Farmington Hills, Michigan. She was a four-year varsity letterwinner at Farmington High School under coach Kyle Kinyon. During her high school career, she broke the school's record in the 100 backstroke and contributed to a state championship relay team at the 2023 MHSAA Division 2 State meet. Cho earned top-eight finishes at state meets in multiple events and served as a two-year captain. Her family has ties to Wayne State; both parents fenced for WSU with her mother earning All-American honors.

Scarlet Maison joins from Standish-Sterling High School in Rose City, Michigan. She earned four varsity letters swimming for coaches Shawn Maison and Gary Hagenbuch. Maison collected several top finishes at MHSAA Division 3 state meets throughout her high school career and set multiple school records. She also competed in track and field, advancing to state competition as a senior in the 800m run. Maison was named class valedictorian and participated in National Honor Society.

Ava Zimmerman arrives from Haslett High School in East Lansing, Michigan. A four-year letterwinner coached by Robert Oliver, Zimmerman holds school records in both individual and relay events. She achieved strong placements at conference championships and received academic recognition from NISCA as well as CAAC Academic All-Conference honors.

Wayne State is scheduled to open its 2025-26 season at the Davenport Invitational on October 10-11.
