The Wayne State University women's tennis team participated in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Midwest Regional Championships held in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The team finished with a 5-5 record in singles matches and secured three victories in doubles play.

Malak Arafat led the team with a 3-1 performance in the Singles A Draw, reaching the quarterfinals before losing to Natasha Sengphrachanh of Grand Valley State. In doubles competition, Arafat partnered with Selin Kayakent for a 1-1 record, falling to a Saginaw Valley State duo after a close match decided by a tiebreaker.

Tournament results for singles included Justine Beaulieu finishing 0-2, Kayakent at 1-1, and Rebecca Laynes recording a 1-1 result. In doubles, Beaulieu teamed up with Laynes to post a 1-2 record.

Looking ahead, Wayne State's women's tennis student-athletes will seek an at-large bid to compete at the ITA Cup scheduled for October 16-18 in Mount Berry, Georgia. Automatic bids are given to singles and doubles champions from each of eight regions. Additional spots are available for four regional finalists and four regional quarterfinalists through at-large selection based on previous year rankings and quality of wins.
