The Wayne State University women's cross country team secured first place at the Jayhawk Invite, hosted by Muskegon Community College in Muskegon, Michigan, on Saturday. The event featured 16 teams competing for top honors.
Wayne State collected a total of 22 points, with five of its athletes finishing among the top ten runners. Emilee Rudlaff finished fourth overall and was the team's second scorer with a time of 18:24.80. Robin Bresolin placed fifth overall as the third team scorer in 18:25.80. Anna Gdowski took sixth place at 18:27.40, followed closely by Sarah Greb in seventh at 18:27.50. Ella Showerman rounded out Wayne State's top ten finishers with a tenth-place result and a time of 18:35.70.
Other notable performances included Remi Flanz, who finished fourteenth overall in 18:43.10, and Sydney Smith, who came in fifteenth at 18:47.80.
The next competition for Wayne State will be the SVSU Red October Meet on Friday, October 17, in University Center, Michigan.
