The Wayne State University women's golf team achieved a tie for fourth place out of 12 teams at the Davenport Panther Invitational, held at Stonehedge North in Augusta, Michigan. The Warriors finished with a two-round total score of 618 (+42), recording rounds of 308 and 310.
Claudia Portillo was the top performer for Wayne State, finishing tied for seventh among 72 players. She posted scores of 76 on both days, totaling 152 (+8). This marks her second top-10 finish of the fall season.
Other notable finishes from the Warriors included Ting-Yu Kuo tying for 17th with a score of 155 (+11), Orianna Bylsma tying for 22nd at 157 (+13), Sonia Bayahya tying for 25th at 158 (+14), and Clara Laffitte tying for 34th with a score of 161 (+17).
Lewis University won the event with a team score of 602 (+26). Saginaw Valley State finished second (611, +35) and Northwood placed third (615, +39). Wayne State shared fourth place with Davenport.
