Wayne State University has announced the addition of four new swimmers to its men's swimming and diving team for the 2025-26 season. Head coach Sean Peters, now in his 29th year with the program, welcomed Vincent Bruno, Ian Frank, Adam Kuc, and Liam Seifert to the roster.
Vincent Bruno joins from Portage Northern High School in Kalamazoo. He was a four-year letterwinner under coach Natalie Reamer and set records in both individual and relay events at the Southwest Michigan Athletic Conference. Bruno placed fifth in the 100 backstroke at the MHSAA Division 2 state meet and was a two-year team captain. He plans to major in Biological Sciences.
Ian Frank comes from Oxford High School, where he competed as a three-year letterwinner for the Wildcats. At the 2025 MHSAA Division 1 state meet, he swam in multiple events including relays and sprints. Frank recorded personal bests during championship meets and swims with USSC (Utica Shelby Swim Club) during summers. He intends to study Nursing.
Adam Kuc transfers after earning an associate degree from Macomb Community College. While there, he posted personal-best times at regional championships. A graduate of Macomb Dakota High School, Kuc helped set school relay records and contributed to county championships under coach Dave Smith. He plans to major in Graphic Design.
Liam Seifert is a four-year letterwinner from Flint Powers Catholic High School coached by Chase Harvey. Seifert qualified for state meets throughout high school and achieved top finishes in distance freestyle events as a senior. He also swims with OLY during summers under coach Adam Cooper and will pursue a degree in Information Technology.
The Warriors began their season by winning the Davenport "Swimming" Invitational last weekend.
