The Wayne State University men's cross country team concluded its regular season by winning the Saginaw Valley State Red October meet on Friday in University Center, Michigan. The team accumulated 18 points and had a strong showing with six runners finishing in the top ten.
Wayne State secured the top three spots in the event. Ian Lewis finished first overall with a time of 26:13.52, followed by Parks Allen in second at 26:17.36, and Aidan Lobsinger in third at 26:19.47. Adam Hafeli placed fifth (26:43.64), while Ethan Muraszewski came in seventh (26:54.40). James Latstetter rounded out the top ten for Wayne State, finishing tenth at 27:09.04.
Other finishers for Wayne State included Brady Heron, who was fifteenth overall with a time of 27:29.14, and Neil Oyer, who placed twenty-fifth at 29:32.18.
The next competition for Wayne State's men's cross country team will be the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Championships on Saturday, October 25. The race is scheduled to take place at Calvin University Cross Country Course in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and will begin at 11:45 AM.
