Wayne State men’s tennis continues competition at ITA Cup

Luis Klaus and Harry Forsyth, representing Wayne State University's men's tennis team, participated in the second day of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Cup at the Rome Tennis Center in Rome, Georgia. The event took place on Friday, October 17.

Klaus and Forsyth faced Daniil Felker and Carel Wessel from the University of Texas at Tyler during the West Draw Stage. Felker and Wessel were seeded third in the tournament. The match was closely contested, with Wessel and Felker winning the first set 7-6 (7-5). Klaus and Forsyth continued to compete strongly but lost the second set 6-4.

The Wayne State pair had previously lost a tight match in the opening round of the ITA Cup with scores of 7-5, 6-4.

Looking ahead, Klaus and Forsyth are scheduled to play against Germano Setti and Matthew Earle from Midwestern State University in the South Draw Stage on Saturday, October 18, at 5:30 PM.
