On Sunday, March 30, former Stevenson High School standout Mark Kattula’s current college team, the UIS Prairie Stars, won 13-6 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Lincoln Blue Tigers.
The game took place at UIS Baseball Field. This was their fourth matchup against the Blue Tigers this season.
The Prairie Stars’ next game is scheduled for Tuesday, April 1 at 2 p.m. at Weber Baseball Field against Maryville Saints.
Four Wayne State men’s tennis athletes have been named to the CSC Academic All-District Team for their achievements on court and academically during the past season. The honorees include Luis Klaus, Benjamin Hill, George Day, and Tom Wasner.
