The Wayne State University men’s swimming team participated in two events during the second day of the NCAA Championships. The Warriors competed in the 200 IM and the 1000 free on this initial day of preliminary action.

In the 200 IM, none of the Wayne State swimmers advanced to the finals. Clayton Kinnard finished 23rd with a time of 1:48.81, Gabriel Arias placed 34th with a time of 1:49.43, and Olin Charnstrom came in 38th at 1:49.82.

For the 1000 free event, final placements are still to be determined after tonight’s timed final. Trevor Jones secured a temporary position at 13th with a time of 9:18.02, while William Debroux followed closely in 14th place with a time of 9:18.35.

The finals on Wednesday night are set to start at 5:30 p.m., where Wayne State University’s team will also compete in the 200 medley relay.
