Several members of the Wayne State University men’s cross country squad participated in the Oakland University Elaine Leigh Invite last weekend. These athletes competed without team affiliations at the event held in Rochester, Michigan.

The men’s 5,000 meters event saw seven athletes from Wayne State competing. Jared Platt finished in 7th place with a time of 14:49.88, followed by Gabe Trevino in 12th place with a time of 15:17.84. Griffin Conway came 21st, Aidan Lobsinger secured 24th place, Ethan Muraszewski finished 31st, Anthony Vinson ended in 41st, and Kenny Minto rounded out the group in 59th place.

In the men’s 3,000 meters steeplechase, Ian Lewis represented the team, finishing in 5th place with a time of 10:16.74.
