The Wayne State University women’s swimming and diving team remains in third place after the third day of competition at the 2026 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Championships, held in Holland, Michigan. The team scored 145 points on Sunday, bringing its total to 401 points out of six participating teams. Grand Valley State leads with 777 points, followed by Northern Michigan with 504. Davenport is fourth with 313, Saginaw Valley State fifth with 309, and Lake Superior State sixth with one point.
Monday marks the final day of the championships, beginning with preliminary events at 10 a.m.
In individual results, Diana Muccioli finished seventh in the championship finals of the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:02.21, meeting the NCAA B Cut standard. In the consolation finals for the same event, Emily Hedley placed ninth (5:04.08), Lilian Ljuckanov tenth (5:04.15), and Danika Fessenden eleventh (5:08.45).
For the 100-yard backstroke consolation finals, Megan Unger took tenth place (58.54), Kate Rhodes was eleventh (58.70), and Annika Cho fourteenth (59.30).
Delaney Parker secured third place in the championship finals of the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:03.05, also achieving an NCAA B Cut mark. Emma Crispo finished tenth in the consolation finals for this event at 1:04.53.
In the championship finals of the 200-yard butterfly, Elly Belmore came in third (2:06.38), Danika Fessenden was fifth (2:07.67), and Scarlet Maison finished seventh (2:08.66).
The Warriors’ relay team—composed of Emily Hedley, Danika Fessenden, Diana Muccioli, and Elly Belmore—placed fourth in the 800-yard freestyle relay with a time of 7:37.17.
