The Wayne State University women’s outdoor track and field team is set to participate in three different events across the United States. The squad will be divided to compete at the Texas State Bobcat Invitational, the Washington University Distance Carnival, and the Cedarville Yellow Jacket Open.

At the Washington University Distance Carnival, both male and female athletes will compete. The women’s 10,000-meter race on Thursday includes Mattie Drennan, Reagan Justice, and Annalee Misch. Natalie Davies will run in a separate section of the same event on Friday. For men, Gabe Trevino and Anthony Vinson are scheduled for Friday morning’s 10,000-meter race.

The Texas State Bobcat Invitational features only female competitors from Wayne State. Events include the 100-meter hurdles with Makenzie Wellner and Megan Zahnow participating on Thursday. Other races include the 100-meter dash with Renae Kutcha among others and a variety of relay events throughout Saturday.

Meanwhile, at the Cedarville Yellow Jacket Open on Saturday, both genders will participate again. The men’s team will run in events such as the 10,000 meters featuring Tyler Brothers and others. Women’s events include various sprints like the 100-meter dash with participants including Tianna Bennett.

Field events are also scheduled at Cedarville with Peyton Hansen competing in javelin and Makayla Stewart in hammer throw among others.

“All times local to location.”
