DETROIT -- Ransom Allen of the Wayne State University men's cross country team was named a College Sports Communicators (CSC, formerly CoSIDA) First Team Academic All-American on Wednesday afternoon. After a Second Team selection for the 2021 season and a First Team nod in 2022, Allen joins Elly Maleski (swimming) as the school's only three-time honorees in the 72-year history of the Academic All-America program.
DETROIT -- Both Wayne State University swimming and diving teams were recently recognized by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) as Scholar All-America Teams for the Winter/Spring semester.
The Wayne State University baseball team had 23 student-athletes receive GLIAC All-Academic Team honors for the 2024 season. The 23 recipients represent the third-most in program history. Over the last seven years, Wayne State baseball has had 153 GLIAC All-Academic honorees.
