City of Livonia issued the following announcement on Aug 2.

The Livonia Public Library along with the Livonia Library Commission invites you to join us in participating in the One City, One Book project! The 2021 themes are identity, belonging and inclusivity.

The Arc of Justice has been chosen as the first book of the One City, One Book project.

Historian Kevin Boyle tells the story of Detroit by weaving the police investigation and courtroom drama of the Sweet murder trial into an unforgettable tapestry. His narrative history documents the volatile America of the 1920s and movingly re-creates the Sweet family’s journey from slavery through the Great Migration to the middle class.

The Library is hosting a series of FREE public events that are open to all ages. Visit OneCityOneBookLivonia.org for a list of activities!
