The pain two Detroit families have felt since the murder of their loved ones is indescribable. Now they're turning to their community to help solve these murders.
"You see these families where they've lost a loved one and you feel for them," the grandmother of Marquese Smith told Detroit Rewards TV host Andrea A Isom in an interview. "But once it happens to you, then you have that true feeling of what they're going through and it hurts. It really hurts."
On Dec. 15, 2021, Marquese Smith and his best friend Teron Flowers were gunned down near the Martin Luther King Apartments. The person or persons responsible for their murders are still out there.
