Brad Dick has been named the City of Detroit’s new Chief Operating Officer and will begin his new role March 6th.
In this role, he will oversee multiple city departments including Water & Sewerage, Demolition, General Services, Municipal Parking, and more.
As Group Executive for Services and Infrastructure, Brad led the revitalization of more than 150 Detroit parks and multiple recreation centers, the effort to clear more than 2,000 overgrown alleys, and the city’s new commercial corridor cleanup effort.
“I find if you focus on a solution instead of an obstacle, you really can get anything done and that’s the approach I plan to take to providing these services and continuing the beautification of our city.” - Brad Dick
He replaces Hakim Berry, who will be taking a hospital administration position at Michigan Medicine in Ann Arbor.
