Ella Uganski of Jenison was honored by the Honors College for her performance both on the volleyball court and academically as an Exercise and Sport Science major.

Lastly, Lauren Fritz from Commerce Township was honored by the School of Social Work. A transfer from Oakland Community College, Fritz quickly established herself as a key player on WSU’s softball team while excelling academically.

In total, 62 student-athletes achieved perfect GPAs during Fall 2023 with more than 78 percent maintaining above a 3.00 GPA that semester. The overall cumulative GPA for all athletes stands at 3.42 with each team exceeding a minimum GPA threshold of 3.17.
