The Wayne State University men's tennis team has achieved a No. 3 ranking in the latest NCAA Midwest Regional Poll, as announced on Wednesday. Joining the team from the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) are Grand Valley State University, Ferris State University, Purdue University Northwest, and Davenport University.
The Midwest Region consists of teams from the GLIAC, the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC), and the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC). Each conference tournament's winner receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Midwest Regionals, while five more teams will secure at-large bids. A total of 48 teams from eight regions will participate in the NCAA Tournament.

On Wednesday morning, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released its latest polls. The Wayne State University (WSU) men's tennis team is ranked No. 20 nationally. Cedric Drenth from Sulzbach, Germany, is ranked 49th in singles play, while his partnership with George Day from Southampton, United Kingdom, is ranked 31st in doubles competition.
