Rep. Joe Bellino (R-Monroe) attended Gov. Gretchen Whitmer's second State of the State address with Dearborn Financial Credit Union (DFCU) CFO John Skibski on Jan. 29.
DFCU was founded in 1950 by seven Ford engineers, and today it is headquartered in Dearborn, with multiple branches and over 200,000 members, according to DFCU Financial. It offers financial services to local members and businesses to help them achieve financial milestones.
During her speech, Whitmer suggested that the upcoming year is an opportunity to improve Michigan. "Let's get to work. Let's move some dirt," Whitmer said in her State of the State address.
Bellino said the state needs to start delivering results. "We need to build up our skilled workforce-- with training, with jobs and with social supports, like opioid addiction care, that will put more of our kids in high-quality careers at home," Bellino said at the address, according to Michigan House Republicans.
