Northville Lumber, located at 615 Baseline Road, the leading material suppliers in Northville, is taking huge steps in growing its business. The material supplier has seen the growth of its northeast property by adding several acres, which will include parking areas together with an existing warehouse.
According to Hometown Life, there was a virtual meeting held by the Northville Planning Commission, which discussed the preliminary site plan and the expansion's special land use. The meeting was held virtually due to the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak.
A 23,000-square-foot warehouse and more than 4 acres of land make up the expansion total, which sits northeast of the current Northville Lumber's operation.
With the warehouse serving as a distribution facility and a store for materials, there won't be a need for constructing new buildings.
Addressing the concerns regarding disturbing the nearby residents, Stewart Oldford, the business owner, said the operations within the warehouse will be minimal and would not cause any disturbance to neighbors.
