Wayne State University's men's golf team is set to participate in the SVSU Spring Break Invite at Kearney Hill Golf Links in Lexington, Kentucky. The tournament will take place on Saturday and Sunday, marking the team's second competition of the spring season.

Head coach Mike Horn expressed optimism following a recent victory, stating, "Coming off of a very good win in North Carolina, we are looking forward to the challenge of playing in some tougher conditions at Kearney Hills." He emphasized the importance of maintaining focus and intensity as they compete against 19 other regional teams. Horn added, "I'm looking for a Warrior to challenge for medalist honors and looking for consistency week to week."

The Warriors' recent success came at Davis and Elkins' Battle at Brunswick in Calabash, North Carolina. The team finished first among ten teams with a score of -1 (431), while Mat Hawryluk earned medalist honors. This marked Hawryluk's second career win and his second victory in three tournaments.

Last year, Wayne State secured sixth place out of 21 teams at the SVSU Spring Invite. Individually, Mat Hawryluk and Luke Pelak were tied for 25th with scores of 149.
