The Wayne State University men's golf team is set to participate in the Findlay Spring Invitational, marking their third tournament of the 2023-24 spring schedule. The event will take place at Boone's Trace National Golf Club in Richmond, Kentucky, with the Warriors playing 54 holes over Monday and Tuesday.

Head coach Mike Horn expressed optimism for the upcoming competition following last week's performance. "After our performance last week, we are looking to vast improvement this week," he stated. Horn emphasized the importance of transitioning from practice to actual performance. "It's time for us to stop talking and actually perform like we can," he said. He also highlighted the unique format where all five players will play together throughout the tournament.

The projected lineup for Wayne State includes Mat Hawryluk, Josh DiCarlo, Max Leppelmeier, Ian Smith, and Adam Burghardt. The team has shown consistent improvement in this tournament over recent years, moving from seventh place in 2021 to sixth in 2022 and then fifth in 2023.

The tournament field features a range of competitors including teams from Findlay, Indianapolis, Tiffin, Ashland, Missouri-St. Louis, Maryville, Missouri S&T, McKendree, Thomas More, Ohio Dominican, Saginaw Valley State, Northwood, Davenport, Walsh, Cedarville, Ferris State, and Hillsdale.
