Canton Township opens temporary food pantry for residents amid SNAP benefit limits

Canton Township will open a temporary food pantry for area residents starting November 12. The pantry is located in the lower level of the Canton Administration Building at 1150 S. Canton Center Road. It will operate from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and aims to assist residents who need extra food supplies during a period when SNAP benefits are limited.

Residents who wish to donate can use a drop-box located in the lobby of the Administration Building. The township requests donations of non-perishable food items and personal hygiene products, which can be given during regular business hours.

"Canton Township is opening a temporary food pantry in the lower level of the Canton Administration Building, from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., beginning Wednesday, November 12. This pantry, located at 1150 S. Canton Center Road, is available to area residents who are in need of supplemental food supplies while SNAP benefits are limited.

Additionally, for those who would like to donate to the pantry there is a donation drop-box in the lobby of the Canton Administration Building. We are in need of non-perishable food items and personal hygiene products and can accept them at any time during regular business hours."
