The Wayne State University men's basketball program has initiated a Support Drive aiming to collect $20,000. The funds will be allocated for various team needs including basketballs, team shoes, travel sweatsuits, meals, activities, and a Shoot-A-Way Machine that will serve both Warrior basketball teams.

Specific fundraising targets have been set: $1,000 for NCAA mandatory basketballs; $1,000 for team activities; $3,000 for Nike team shoes; $4,000 for Nike travel sweatsuits; $5,000 for team meals; and the full amount of $6,000 is needed to acquire the Gun Shoot-A-Way Machine.

Supporters interested in contributing to the drive can find more information on how to participate.

In addition to launching this initiative, the WSU men's basketball team is preparing for its home opener under Coach Bryan Smothers. The game is scheduled against the University of Findlay on Sunday, November 17 at 2 p.m. at the WSU Fieldhouse.
